DR JENNIFER LEE, MD FACS:
Dr. Jennifer Lee, MD FACS is a board certified ophthalmologist who offers a range of eye services to help you attain the clearest vision possible. Jennifer’s gentle, thorough, and sincere professionalism have been greatly appreciated by our patients.
Born in Hershey, Pennsylvania to Korean immigrant parents, Jennifer grew up in Grand Forks, North Dakota. Her father was a tenured professor of laboratory medicine at the University of North Dakota and also owned a private veterinarian clinic.
Jennifer attended Northwestern University where she graduated Magna cum Laude from the School of Education and Social Policy. She was then accepted to the prestigious Northwestern Medical School, and after her rotation in ophthalmology, she knew she had found her calling in the field of eyes. One of the few fields that allows a physician to know her patients well, ophthalmology also offers cutting edge microscopy surgery. “One of the best things about being an ophthalmologist is giving someone back one of their vital senses, and that is more rewarding than anyone can imagine,” Dr. Lee says.
In addition to working at Washington Pacific Eye Associates, Jennifer teaches cataract surgery at the University of Washington, instructing the ophthalmology residents on the most advanced surgical techniques available. She also has a clinic at Harborview Medical center one day a week serving our most underserved patient population in Washington State.
In her free time she enjoys reading, traveling, skiing, dancing, and hiking. Jennifer and her Boston Terrier, Starla, reside in Kirkland, Washington.
